Mart is a litigation attorney specializing primarily in resolving disputes related to private law. He has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, with in-depth involvement in corporate law, contract law, labor law, insolvency law, and civil procedure.
Before obtaining his attorney qualification, Mart worked as a lawyer at AS Operail, a state-owned company specializing in railway transportation and logistics. Prior to that, he served as a judicial clerk at the Harju County Court and as head of the legal department at the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
As a result, Mart possesses diverse and comprehensive practical experience in legal counsel, litigation, and legislative work. Notably, Mart participated in the full-scale restructuring and partial privatization of AS Operail, including its subsidiaries in Finland, a process successfully completed in spring 2023.
His involvement in such complex projects has provided invaluable experience in finding mutually satisfactory solutions amid sometimes conflicting interests between the private and public sectors.
Mart has a master’s degree in law from the University of Tartu and studied as an exchange student at Paris VIII University (Université Paris VIII Vincennes-Saint-Denis).
